MTV3 + Jakob

MTV3 50 yrs gala show is done. There is only a bad cell phone image of the setup. Show pictures you might find from Mikki Kunttu’s web site or from his blog. But what a setup it was… Long days, no sleep – 2 days late. I guess the crew in fair centre is really good in… doing fairs…

I was the TD for Mikki Kunttu ltd and many times was put in very bad situation because of the local crew. It took 2 days and one dancer to fall off the stage to get ONE extra riser on stage to cover a dangerous corner. Add they had like 100 risers free at the fair centre all the time. Luckily the dancer was all right. The fall was softened by a Hippotizer and a brand new 20” monitor. Hippo and the monitor were OK too after reboot.

99 moving lights and 86 square meters of led screen felt like big thing but visiting the venue across the street where the Eurovision took place made this gig feel rather small…

Now I’m working on Jakob – a Circus Ruska show that premieres tomorrow here in Tampere. Day before the premiere everything seems to be exceptionally all right. I’m happy too. It is so refreshing to do these circus things again.
